Central Asian Energy Efficiency Support Program

USAID’s Central Asian Energy Efficiency Support Program (CAEESP) aims to assist in reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) intensity and emissions by stimulating investment in energy efficiency technologies and projects.

This is a regional program implemented by ICF International in Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

CAEESP’s key outcome is improved use and management of energy through the development of energy efficiency measures and applications.

Agricultural Linkages (AgLinks)

Duration:

To increase agricultural production and productivity in Uzbekistan, the project: 

  • Provides training to 5 agrofirms and 5 water users associations in Namangan, Ferghana, and Samarkand regions on agronomic issues, agribusiness management, post-harvest handling, fruit production, processing, and marketing.
  • Strengthens the ability of agricultural enterprises, joint stock companies, and leasehold farms to respond to specific market opportunities;
  • Helps public institutions with monitoring of quality standard, horticultural research, and plant protection.
